The Everything Kids Expo

There are a lot of events in NYC so sometimes is really hard to decided where to go in a weekend. Last weekend we decided to try the Everything Kids Expo. This expo caught my attention as it was only $5 for a family of four, which included the entrance, the entertainment, but also unlimited access to the bounce houses. They also had a pre-registration form, which guaranteed a goody bag at check-in. I also picked this particular event because it was held at the Aviator Sports Complex in Brooklyn and I wanted to check that out.

When we got there it was great to find a big parking lot. We arrived around 11:30 (the event started at 11) and there wasn’t a line. We went to the registration table where they offered the kids a lollipop and got our goody bag and paid our fee. When you pay you get a wrist band but we also got like 10 raffle tickets.
The set up was very nice. It had vendors, an open space in the middle and the play area to the right. The play area had tow huge bounce houses and an astroturf open field, where kids were running and playing soccer.

There were different vendors at this event. Verizon FIOS was signing up people for raffles. Some of the other vendors included MetLife and SpecialParent. SpecialParent was giving kids beach buckets with a pale and inflatable beach ball (both were incredible hits with my kids). NY Life Insurance had a table where they were making children ID’s for free. This was worth they wait (about 15-20 minutes), since now my three kids have their own ID with picture, description and their fingerprint. Brooklyn Public Library as well as PM Pediatrics were also present.
There was also a performance from a local dance school and it was fun to see all the kids have a really good time. Throughout the event there was a DJ who played music and announced the different raffles.

Needless to say we had a great time. So great in fact, that there was tantrum throwing from both toddlers because they didn’t want to leave! I can’t wait for next year, this is definitely another one to add to any parents TO-DO list.

  1. This was a fun and exciting event! I am helping to plan a Children’s Day event and we definitely want to include party rental equipment similar to what we experienced at the expo. The options really made it a great event. Thanks for sharing this post!
