There are not that many place where you can go, right in the middle of winter. Sahara Sam’s is the place. It is an indoor/outdoor water park. The park is located in NJ (about an hour from NYC).
I think this would be a super awesome party venue. I mean what kid, tween or even adult wouldn’t like to have a party at an arcade/water park? The arcade has ton of options for goodies with ticket winnings.
Firstly, you check in, where you pay and get your wristband. To the left you will have the lockers, which you can rent.
We even got to hang out at our own private cabana. The cabanas are absolutely awesome and in my opinion, a MUST if you have small kids. However, my only complaint is that it was dark. I couldn’t find out if there was a light switch or not.
I did take a ride on the Snake Eyes Tube Slide and it was AWESOME!!! I had really forgotten how much fun a water slide was. There are many other attractions like the lazy river and the surfing simulator.
Entry cost is $29.99 ($34.99 if it’s walk up-so make sure to get your tickets online) for a whole day of fun! Seriously, that’s pretty cheap! Regardless, they also have half days with discounts. What I liked the most is all the events they have. Like Breakfast with Santa and New Year’s Eve Bash. You can also get an Annual Pass!
It was fun, clean and the price is right, therefore, you must check it out. I want to thank Sahara Sam’s for hosting my family.
