Momtrends Fashion Forward

Late in September I was invited to attend the Fashion Forward conference by Momtrends. This event gathers some of the most amazing moms for a day of learning about pursuing our goals while looking fashionable. The morning started with great networking with other moms but also with some incredible vendors. The vendors included Dansko, Miracle Suit, The Boodle Box, Dyson, Gwynnie Bee, CAbi, CVS, Chevy, A Mother Matters and Kevita. The vendors had contests as well as presented us with new products that make mothers lives much easier, healthier and more fabulous.

After that networking we enjoyed a couple of fashion shows. The first one was a childrens fashion show, featuring clothes from Matilda Jane as well as Halloween costumes from Spirit Halloween. These clothes were cute but the kids were even cutter!

Of course, there had to be a fashion show for moms. The fashion featured fashions by CAbi, J.Jill and Miracle Suit and Dansko. All the moms looked super fashionable without sacrificing comfort and practicality.

The day had different information panels as well. Empowering Your Community included Marcy Massura from MSL Group, Christine Hunsicker founder and CEO of Gwynnie Bee, Chrysula Winegar founder of Wake Up World Communications and Sharon Basel from GM Energy and Environmental Communication. The second panel was Power Players in Social Media where we discussed social media trends and how to build our audiences productively. We were lucky enough to also hear from Christy Turlington Burns who educated us on Every Mother Counts. A foundation that helps women have a safe and healthy labor and delivery around the World.

I am so thankful to Momtrends for inviting to participate in this very educational, informative and fun day.  I look forward to next years Fashion Forward conference!
