Elizabeth Arden Red Door Celebrates 25 years

Every woman I know, knows Red Door. I was excited to receive the new 25th anniversary bottle since this is such a classic fragrance. The bottle is the classic Red Door, engraved with the 25th anniversary logo and a clear cap, instead of the red.

Some of the top notes are Blackcurrant Nectar, Natural Rose Water, Violet Leaf Absolute Essential LMR. It also has a base of patchouli. I like that the scent has strong note but is pleasant. To me it has a smell clean. My mom is a die-hard Elizabeth Arden fan, so she was the one to wear it. One her, it smelled a bit different from the original Red Door that she has. The original was more perfume like and this one is more mild. Not to confused mild with weak, she took a shower and even after I still smelled the perfume on her!

I enjoy that it is an eau de parfum but it’s a spray bottle. It’s easier to just spray a little and go (easy for moms is key!). Lets talk $. The 3.3 fl oz. retails for $72 which is pretty much average for perfumes. Perfumes always make nice gifts, for birthdays and specially now for the holidays. So if you are trying to figure out what to get your mom, aunt, your best friend, Red Door is sure to please. It is such a classic. I do have to mention that if you gift it to someone who is an Elizabeth Arden Red Door fan asked them if they want the classic or RD25. Because they are different formulations so the smell is NOT the same. Overall this is the perfect gift. I know a couple of ladies in my life who are getting a bottle for Christmas.

Do you have a favorite perfume?
