Beauty Products. Approved!

There are so many beauty products out there and I get asked my age A LOT. Not going to to lie sometimes it surprises me and them when I say that I am 32. They tell me I look so young, and I have to thank my mother and good genes for oily Caribbean skin. But after three pregnancies and living in the Northeast where skin get dry more, winter winds slap your face, I needed to take radical measures to make sure my skin stays healthy.

So what is my routine like? I only do my full routine at night, because I have more time by myself. But in the morning I splash my face with cold water, put coconut oil and then my face moisturizer. If I am going to a work event, then I’ll do BB cream, and regular makeup. I also only lotion my extremities in the morning since I have not time!

At night during my shower I use exfoliating gloves with whichever soap I am using at the time. I do like to get the handmade soaps from Lush or Whole Foods. I wash my face with Alaffia Everyday Face Wash. When I come out of the shower, I start with my body and work my way to the face.

1. I use the Jergens BB Body Cream on my thighs (yes I am trying to deal with cellulite and veins and things that come with babies and age!)

2. After that I do my belly. I go back and forth between Bio-Oil and Basq Advance Stretch Mark Butter (In the picture you’ll see I still have their old packaging, so don’t look for packaging if you try to buy it).

3. For my chest I use a Mama Mio Boob Tube. I added this recently since I notice that well breastfeeding has definitely changed my breast.

4. Last, I use Earth Mama Angel Baby Body Butter everywhere else on my body.

In the face I have 3 steps:

1. Coconut oil. I am using Trader Joes brand. Extra Virgin. One of the best beauty products of all time.

3. Immortelle oil from doTerra. Ok, this is SUPER expensive little bottle of oil. I got it for free since I get oils from them and then were having a promotion, if you got certain amount of oils you got Immortelle for free! Because it’s so expensive and powerful I only use it under my eyes.

4. Moisturize with the Alaffia Face Lotion.

It seems like a lot. But honestly if I have found a way to do it you certainly can. You don’t have to use the same products as every skin is different and they will have different reactions to scents and ingredients. But my point is, to carve the time and really take care of the skin. I see so many moms who don’t use any moisturizer, we only have one skin and the earlier we start to take care of it, the longer it will hold!

I have to point out my mother never used anything. ANYTHING! But like I mentioned we lived in the Caribbean where all you must use is SPF. She moved here almost 8yrs ago and her skin has changed drastically because of the weather. So keep weather in mind.

DISCLAIMER: I am in NO way affiliated with any of the brands mentioned above. I wasn’t sent any of their products for reviews or anything. I am a member of doTerra, which is where I purchase my Essential Oils. These are my own products purchased by me.
