Happy New Year

Happy New Year! Giveaway!

Happy New Year! As a thank you for reading and a celebration of our first birthday and the New Years, I figured it’d be good to do a giveaway. I debated with what to give away and decided that my favorite thing in the whole world besides my kids is my precious coffee. So you can enter to win a Starbucks gift card! Who doesn’t like free coffee. Plus you can get other things if coffee is not your thing.

I will tell you a funny story. This morning my husband said I had an addiction and he said the first step was to admit it. I replied that coffee is a necessary substance in my life, and without it I could not function! Trust me I’ve tried. Anyways, so what if I have more coffee than water in a day? Thanks to my “addiction” you can win a gift card.

I always want to thank you for reading and supporting me in this adventure. I don’t know how to express gratitude other than with small giveaways like these. As a mom I know how hard it is to take care of ourselves and focus on what really matters.

Do you have a little addiction of your own?

  1. Love love coffee. With 3 kids all 4 and under I need all the energy to keep up with them, laundry, driving around, grocery shopping and working full time and owning my own business

  2. I know it will sound weird, but grocery shopping on my own is one of my escapes! But, I love a good Starbucks with my tablet or Barnes and Noble on my own.

    1. Can I tell you a funny story. I HATED the grocery store, with a passion. Then I was a cook in the Coast Guard and I would go get Starbucks and do the groceries. It changed my life!!! I really do enjoy going to the groceries by myself! There’s something about the food and the store that makes me pretty zen!

  3. I LOVE Starbucks!!! Unfortunately, having an 8-year-old son who NEVER leaves me alone, my little escape is anything and anywhere where I can literally and physically escape from him. I mean, I love him and all, but sometimes even my bathroom is my little escape. Unless he figures out how to open the lock!!!!

    1. True story I never liked pedicures until about 7 yrs ago. A co-worker made me get one. I had an issue with people touching my feet. I was HOOKED! Pedicures are a very simple thing that can bring women and men so much pleasure!

  4. A bath with a Lush bath bomb (not sure if you’ve ever tried them but they are 10000x more fun than a bubble bath!) with some candles lit and my laptop set up nearby with gilmore girls or something like that playing 🙂

    1. Oh how I miss Gilmore Girls! I wish I could take a bath. Haven’t taken a bath in ages- I do shower though! LOL! Must try the bath bombs… Thanks for the tip!

    1. perfect combination! Although I got to say if it’s a really good movie I need popcorn and popcorn and coffee are a no-go.

  5. In the evening over the holidays it has been to have a cup of tea with a good magazine. I love Starbucks coffee and teas!

  6. My escape (surprisingly) is going to work! For an hour and a half every morning and evening, I have the kid-free silence I need to answer emails, listen to ratchet music, and read during my commute. The best part is, there’s a Starbucks in the lobby of my office building.

  7. Starbucks is one of my little escapes too! I work long hours, but luckily I can slip away to Starbucks during those hours for an afternoon pick me up. I love my daily latte.

  8. Right now I don’t have an escape as I rent a room. If I had an escape, it would be to bask in the warmth of a hot tub to ease the pain.

  9. My favorite little get a way, is sitting in my sun room and enjoying a hot cup of coffee and reading one of my favorite books.

  10. My little escape is going to the movies. I love watching movies on the big screen and it’s the only time I don’t have the urge to look at my phone. lol

  11. Reading a good book ALONE with either a coffee or Pepsi Max is basically heaven. When I can manage to be in the sun somewhere by a pool (hardly ever happens) then it really is heaven!!

  12. Besides going to the Caribbean (lol) my little escape would be a quiet night where i can read a book and drink some hot tea. Doesn’t happen much these days with a 6 month old.

  13. My little escape is taking a nice hot bubble bath at night; In the morning, it is a cup of Starbucks on the way to work!

  14. My escape is taking an hour nap in the evening. I work night shift and that little nap helps me escape and feel relaxed. Thanks.
