Moda para el otoño

Published by:

Published by:

Gracias a Stroller in the City por la invitación.

Summer Style: Maxi dress 2 ways

Published by:

My favorite item of clothing for the summer, besides my jeans, is a maxi dress. Maxi dresses can be super versatile and comfortable. Wear them with flats for a zoo outing with the kids or add some wedges for a date night. All you need is to change accessories around and you have a completely different look. Here I give you some ideas on how I like to style the dress.
For the day look I like to keep it simple with a big bag, that can also double as a super chic diaper or beach bag, a chunky necklace and bracelets but in the nude-brown color and leather sandals. I love these sandals in the summer because they look good with EVERYTHING.
For the night look I choose a small clutch bag (that is also cross body- perfect for dancing), the same chunky necklace and bracelet, except this time in black as well as the wedges for a more sultry vibe.
There are definitely a bunch of ways that you could style the dress. However, a good rule of thumb is to keep neutrals for the day and dark colors for night. As far a makeup and hair, I like the same rule- very neutral during the day. Think: BB cream, mascara, some bronzer and gloss with messy hair or a braid. For night-time, foundation, a smokey eye and rosy cheeks would work best. As for the hair, take the braid from day to-night by putting it up in a messy bun or letting it down into messy seductive waves and voila!
Have fun and remember just because we’re moms doesn’t mean we have to sacrifice comfort for style- maxi dresses let us have it ALL!

Summertime!

Published by:

Summertime!Kids are not the only ones who have fun during the summer months. I previously posted the essentials to keep kids safe during summertime, but what about mom. Let’s start with sunscreen is ALWAYS A MUST. But for moms is not all about safety, we also want to look stylish and be comfortable to run around with the kids. Here’s my favorite styles for the summer. The maxi dress and sandals work for every event in the summer, from running errands to friends bbq. The sandals have straps so easier to run around than with flip-flops. For the beach a classic black swimsuit will last and go with everything you pair it with.
As far as beauty, KISS, keep it simple silly! A cute lip crayon color- I really like these Neutrogena ones, a BB or CC cream  (make sure it has SPF), and mascara. Because mascara is a must and you want to make an impact without looking overdone, I would do the Younique 3D Fiber Lashes.
Keep accessories simple and one color so you can mix and match them with more prints and styles!
Hope you have an awesome summer! Show you me your style ladies!

Spring into fun with Stride Rite

Published by:

It’s spring and before we know it, summer will be upon us. This is one of the best times to get shoes for your kids. Usually I get them measured twice a year and the spring is one of them and if you know me, which by now I hope you do, you know we love Stride Rite. So Stride Rite came out with these shoes that are absolutely awesome. The first are the Phibians, these shoes are BEYOND awesome. My kids have been wearing them since I bought a pair back in January and they are seriously my daughters favorite shoes. On our recent trip to California these were the only shoes she wanted to wear. The Phibians give you the comfort of a sneaker but the airy feel of a sandal, and best of all the practicality of the Made2Play collection, which makes the shoes washable! Sounds like the perfect shoe, right?
Stride Rite Phibians

The colors are vibrant for the spring and summer and they are super easy to put on as they are all velcro. Kids can wear them with or without socks and even use them as water shoes! The other new shoes they have are the Leepz, these have super rubbery soles to grip the tracks, they also have lights and come in fun colors.

Stride Rite Leepz

The shoes mimic the frog, which have awesome grip in their extremities. All kids are going to want these shoes, the lights are very bright!

Stride Rite Leepz

As always Stride Rite thinks about kids of all ages, and the spring shoes for the littles are also adorable. The best part is that they really do care about foot health and how little walkers will be impacted by their shoes.

Stride Rite

I love Stride Rite. As long as my kids can wear their shoes I will keep buying them. They are practical, well made (seriously, we have shoes that all the 3 kids have worn!), and they work with the kids strides. Kids never complain about tight shoes or foot pain. I don’t think I’ve ever bought a pair of shoes for the boys outside a Stride Rite store! So if you’re looking for the perfect shoes for your littles for this spring and this summer, check out the Phibians and the Leepz, they are perfect!

What are you most looking forward to do during the warmer weather?

Side NOTE: I was invited to the Spring Preview as a media attendant. While there, I had the AMAZING honor of meeting Buddy Teaster, the president and CEO of Soles 4 Souls. It was an incredible honor, because Soles 4 Souls mission is just incredible. I am happy to support a company like Stride Rite who in part, support and help organizations like Soles 4 Souls.

Disney Fashion

To celebrate the new line of Minnie makeup at Sephora, I created this fashion idea for any Disney fan. Sometimes we want to show our Disney love without looking like a costume or like we’re headed to the park, these are subtle, fashionable and practical way to show your Disney love. The make up is super cute and if you haven’t gone check it out. It’s a limited time, exclusive collection for Sephora! You can use the makeup for everyday, since the black liner goes with everything as well as the bronzer, but you can also dress it up and make it glam. The eyeshadow palette turns into a clutch that you can use later on. I love this look for spring and summer, if you want to transition into fall and winter all you have to do is add a jacket a scarf and some booties. I love Disney and I wear something Disney every single day, so this makeup collection is EVERYTHING. The best part about this look is that it has no age. Anyone can wear this. From teens to grandma, the look is comfortable, fun and full of Disney love. I didn’t add it here but Torrid also has a big Disney collection including these Maleficent flats. They also have different dresses and shirts. But of course if you are looking for Disney fashion, everyone is jumping into the Disney wagon so you can find Disney apparel basically anywhere you shop from Target to Uniqlo.

Stride Rite Sneaker Boot= The SNOOT!

Published by:

Stride Rite Sneaker BootThe Snoot! Comfort, style & protection! (3)

Kids like to be comfortable and as you know I am a huge fan of Stride Rite shoes for my kids. I was so happy when they introduced the “Snoot”. It’s a boot but it’s also a sneaker. And let’s face it, even though the groundhog predicted an early spring, we just got 3 inches of snow this weekend. So these are definitely needed in your kids wardrobe. At first glance, I really didn’t think we would get much used out of these, because I didn’t think they would provide enough protection against the snow. To my surprised my son LOVED them. Not only because they are Star Wars themed, but he said he was comfortable and he could run. He can’t really run in his big snow boots, so this was very important for him.

Stride Rite The Snoot Star Wars

The boot is soft on the shaft, and it’s fleeced lined, making it super soft. It also has an apex attachment so that you can adjust tightness for your child. To make it easier for the kids to put them on by themselves it also has pull tabs on both sides of the shaft. The bottom part of the shoe is just like the Made 2 Play line of shoes. It’s a tennis shoe so it’s not bulky or flat. And it has elastic, so no laces or zippers involved. It does have an extra apex strap in the bottom to adjust as well. I also like that like all Made 2 Play shoes these are machine washable! You can’t beat that! The kids can also wear them as a boot, or fold the top.

IMG_4577

When it comes to performance, we haven’t had any issues yet. My kids feet were dry, he was in the snow for a long time, and we also used them for the walk to school and didn’t really slip. So as far as an overall snow boot, these are pretty good. I tested them myself with my hand, although they don’t have a temperature they definitely kept his feet warm, while he played in the snow. I think the best thing about these sneaker boot is that he can wear them to school and they won’t bother him. A lot of kids wear their snow boots and when they get to school they have to change into their regular shoes. This is not only a pain for the kids and the teachers, but also for us parents who have to make sure to pack their extra shoes. With the sneaker boot, you don’t have to worry about any of that. They wear the same show all the way without compromising comfort or protection from the elements. We will definitely be using these in the spring as rain boots. There are the perfect all in one shoe for winter for any kids. If there is one thing that I hope they change is the amount of colors available. I wish they came up with more color combos and more characters. And they are a bit on the pricey side at $60 (for the bigger kids). Of course with Stride Rite you can always use coupons or wait until they have their awesome sales like buy one get one 40% and right now some of the snoots are on sale for half off, this is an awesome deal!

Stepping in Style with Stride Rite

Published by:

It is no secret we are HUGE fans of Stride Rite. 99% of all the shoes my kids own have been bought at Stride Rite stores. If you didn’t know they do sell a lot of other brands including Sperry, Saucony, Robeez and UGGS! Although they do sell other brands and we have bought some of the other brands once in a while, I actually really love the Stride Rite brand. Their shoes have survived my 2 boys so I know the quality is worth the price. Needless to say I was more than ecstatic for the opportunity to work with them and review their new line of shoes called Made 2 Play. The main difference about this line is that the shoes are 100% machine washable. For a mom, this is incredible. Think about all those dirty shoes you have to sponge clean or just toss! These are quality shoes that withstand children, but you can put them in the machine and call it a day!

The Serena Sneaker

The Serena Sneaker

The Ian Sneaker

The Ian Sneaker

I received two pairs to review. The first style was Ian sneaker in size 13 for my first-born. These are his everyday school shoes. They look nice, they feel like sneakers and they are “made 2 play”. I also got a pair for Grace, which I got in a size 8.5 called the Serena sneaker. If you don’t know what size your child is, get them measured. We go to Stride Rite stores 3x a time just to get measure and make sure we are wearing the right size shoes. And you can get them measured for free. So with my first one, he was measuring 12 so I got the shoes 1 whole size up, the same with Grace. They usually recommend half a size, but I have 3 kids that need shoes and I need them to last just a bit longer. The shoes also come with memory foam inside, which makes them extra comfortable for kids to enjoy. Sometimes we worry about what our kids look like and forget the simple things, like: do their shoes fit the right way. And most of Stride Rite shoes come with velcro, which is a win-win because it’s easy on- easy off.Stride Rite4I appreciate the fit of Stride Rite shoes. And most of their shoes range from $44.00-$49.00 (for the Made 2 Play). If you are not familiar with the brand though, they have tons of sale, right now they have some of the Made 2 Play shoes for $24.99, but they are also offering 25% off if you donate an old pair of shoes for Soles 4 Souls. My favorite sale of the year is the buy one get one 40%. Because I’m always buying multiple shoes, this is a great money-saving sale. With Stride Rite you have tons of options, they also have an outlet store as well as a rewards program.StrideRite5

Are your kids picky with their shoes? Mine certainly are. If they don’t have comfortable shoes they refuse to leave the house!

Target Fashion in BLACK!

Published by:

I love Target. I mean really who doesn’t? So I figured I would share my favorite fashion items in my favorite color scheme. Black and white is super NYC, never runs out of style and it’s flattering. All these items can be repurposed in a bunch of different ways and they are affordable! Hello, did I mentioned they are all from Target? And of course I had to add some Star Wars stuff in there because anything Star Wars is on trend right now.
Everything in the picture could be dressed down and used for running errands with kids, but it could also be dressed up for a date night or night out with friends. I gravitate towards double duty items, as time to shop as a mom is pretty limited. But seriously the best thing is that everything is affordable, which is I lovee Target. You can purchase style but still be able to buy your groceries! This is why the store is any moms dream!
Of course, the beauty of black is that you can style it with ANYTHING. Like anything. The black hat can go with a spring dress or a fall jacket, the T-shirt can be layered in the winter but used in the summer all on its own!
What’s your go to color or pattern?

French Toast- More than uniforms

Published by:

School uniforms can be very very boring, thankfully French Toast makes uniforms fun, affordable and durable! But my favorite part is that they have way  more than uniforms. A few weeks back I was at their showroom in NYC and I was excited to see the range of clothes they have. Even for uniforms they have an insane variety of tops, bottoms and even outerwear. I wasn’t greatly familiar with the brand as my kids weren’t in school but I know I always saw it during back to school for uniforms. I wanted to post this during back to school but thought French Toast has too much cute stuff for the rest of the year to only focus on their uniforms. Not only that, most of their stuff can be worn as regular clothing!

French Toast

I was invited to check out their showroom in NYC and was so impressed with their quality and styling. The line is full of practical items like skorts, double padded knee pants and outerwear. I was also impressed learning that they has a lot more clothes than just school uniforms. The clothes are easy to wear, comfortable and they are affordable. It’s always nice to see quality and affordability together especially when you have to buy clothes for 3 kids!

French Toast

French Toast

My absolute favorite piece was the safari dress. This Canvas Safari Shirt Dress is perfect as a uniform BUT it’s also cute for every day. You can dress it up with dressy shoes and a cardigan for any girl or you can dress it down with sneakers and pony tail. I have to say my daughter wears a size 2T-3T I got the dress in a size 2T and it runs a little small. So definitely get a size up! The dress comes in navy blue and khaki. I have to add, if you don’t take it out of the dryer and fold it or hang it properly, it might need a bit of ironing. And I wish it came with bloomers or diaper covers. But for $14.95 it’s perfect to have in the closet. I actually want to get them in bigger sizes as I think is a dress she can wear any season and can wear in multiple styles.

FrenchToast

For my boys I was excited to try something different. Usually they are just t-shirt and swears kind of boys! I was very impressed when I visited the show room as well as when I received the items of clothing of the quality of clothes. The vest I got is almost identical to a vest I bought years ago from a big retailer and paid almost $60! This Puffer Vest is $28 but right now is on sale for $8.39 and it’s seriously the best vest for fall and spring so this will get so much use! It runs true to size and they have 3 colors: black, blue and pink. I love vest. My boys really like vest because it keeps them warm without the bulk of a full coat.

French Toast

The Zipper Front Sweater is a must especially for the holiday season coming up. It can double duty for uniform, for special occasions as well as for everyday. I think with kids, even more so, if you have multiple kids, you need to consider pieces that will have multiple uses and when it comes to quality, the importance for me is that they can be passed down from one kid to another! This sweater my son has really gotten attached to it. He thinks it makes him look more grown up than a “hoodie” but it feels the comfortable and he can zip it himself. It’s less than $20 which makes it a super affordable option to have in their closet.

French Toast

French Toast

And the pants with the double padded knees are definitely the best investment. The pants really last and they are comfort times 100. My favorite feature besides the double pad on the knees is the adjustable waist. This is a must in all the pants that come in my house. My kids are a little on the taller side so must of the time I have to buy bigger size. Having the adjustable band makes the pants fit and not be falling all the time.

French Toast

French Toast

I can’t say enough good things about French Toast. Seriously check them out because right now they have a crazy sale going on! They have shirts as low as $2.99!! And if you want advice, remember you can always buy sizes bigger for the future and save tons of money! So if you see that pair of uniform pants on sale for less than $15 bucks- GRAB IT!
